The 17th Installation of the Interact Club of St Augustine’s School was held on the 5th July ‘24 at 4pm in their Stolke Conference Hall. The chief guest was Rev Father George Lepcha, the Vice Principal of St. Augustine’s School. In attendance were Rotarians, Faculty Counsellors and Sasonian Interactors and guest Interactors from Rockvale Academy, Vrindavan School and Dr Graham’s Homes. Intr Harshit Arora and Intr Aadarsh Pradhan were installed as the President and Secretary by the President of Rotary Club of Kalimpong, Rtn Sheila Rai Fudong. The New Gen Director Rtn CA Sumit Jindal administered the oath to the Board of Directors and new Interact inductees. It was a well planned programme with a ppt as well. The Sasonian Interactors also handed over funds for the continued sponsorship of Sujat Tirwa’s education in Kumudini Homes Higher Secondary School. This is one of their ongoing projects. They have done innumerable services the past Rotary year. One project entailed visiting Joy’s Old Age Home to provide provisions. Interact clubs organize at least two projects every year, one that helps their school or communipty and one that promotes international understanding. Rotary clubs sponsor, mentor and guide Interactors as they carry out projects and develop leadership skills.
