Saptashri Gyanpeeth celebrated 143rd Birth Anniversary of Munshi Pem Chand on 31st July 2023 at 1.00 pm at School Hall. Rotary Club of Kalimpong President Rtn. Mahendra Agarwal was invited as one of the Guests of the Program.

Chief Guest of the Program was Shri Priyabrata Jaiswar, Head of the Hindi Department of Army Public School, Kalimpong. Among the other prominent guests were Sri Janardan Prasad (Retd Teacher of Jubilee High School), Sri Rahdey ShyamSinhal and parents of meritorious students. Director of the School Sri Tapan Kumar Pradhan, Junior Head Mistress MaamMariam Gurung and Administrator Avinash Chettri were also present.

Program started with offering of Khada to Guests and lightning of lamp by them. Welcome speech by Sri Mukseh Thakur.

School students, who scored 90% and above, in Hindi, in ICSE 2023 were awarded ‘Hindi Samman’ and certificate of appreciation,. Students performed Group song and Dance on the occasion.

Chief Guest gave a brief introduction of Munshi Prem Chandand his literary contribution. School Director Shri TapanPradhan honoured Chief Guest presenting School moento. Vote of thanks was given by Birendra Tiwari Sir.

Prem Chand Jayanti is being celebrated since past 11 years in Saptashri School.
