REPORT ON RYLA
The RYLA was organized by RC Darjeeling, Himalayas- an event of RI DIST 3240 from 14th -16th of July 2023 with the theme “Assist youth to lead youth” at HMI Darjeeling.
The chief guest was Group Capt. Jai Kishan, Principal HMI. District RYLA Chair Dr. Pallavi Majhi and Rtn. Debajitfrom RC Guwahati were present as a special representative of DG. The resource persons were Rtn. Udhaya Mani Pradhan, Fr. Micheal Singh, Rtn. Bharat Mani Pradhan, Rtn. Devajit Gosh Swami and Rtn. Lakpa. For outdoor activities, the members of the RC Darjeeling Himalaya were involved.
There were 84 registration for RYLA, one participant from Bangladesh did not get visa and other one got sick so 82 turned out. 16 interactors, 2 students under the women empowerment committee and 2 Rotary Lets participated from RC Kalimpong. Two Interactors Nima Wangdi Yalmoo and Ashwin Rasaillistood out among the crowds. They are multitalented and also bagged the prizes. Two participants under the women empowerment committee came forward and participated in all the activities like rock climbing, song and dance, skit, yoga and meditation etc… The event was full of serious discourses and full of fun and frolic. It was a great learning experience for them.
