Report on the L3 District Literacy Seminar held on 9th April , 2023 at Rotary Centre Kalimpong .
The Rotary Club of Kalimpong hosted 4th District Literacy Seminar of the RY 2022-23 in association with the RI DISTRICT 3240 Literacy Team on 9th April 2023 at the Rotary Centre , Kalimpong.
The seminar was attended by the District Governor Rtn. Dr. Kushanava Pabi as the special guest ,
District First Lady
Rtn. Jaya Pabi and
DLCC Partha P. Phukan .
The Resource Persons were as under –
Rtn Sumirmal Chakraborty – RC Darjeeling,
Rtn. Krishnendu Roy,
Rtn. Sanjogita Subba, RC Kalimpong,
Rtn. Siddhartha D. Mukhopadhyay: RC Bolpur
along with participating members from RC Darjeeling & RC Gangtok South and also Rotary Club of Kalimpong .
The President of the Rotary Club of Kalimpong Rtn. CA Sumit Jindal gave out his welcome address and declared the Seminar open .
The DLCC Rtn.Partha P. Phukan explained the purpose of the Literacy Seminar.
The resource persons expounded the five Verticals of TEACH in the ppt. presentation briefly .
Thereafter an Open House Question & Answer session was conducted and the Resource persons as well as the DLLC responded to answer the queries.
District Governor Rtn. Dr. Kushanava Pabi also expressed his views and opinions on the subject .
Rtn. SR Fudong gave the vote of thanks and thereafter the President adjourned the Seminar for sumptuous Lunch.
The participants enjoyed the seminar a lot and expressed that they have learnt a lot from the same .
The DG himself handed over a cheque of Rs.30,000/- as District contribution towards the Literacy Seminar on the date of the seminar during the event.
Overall it was a very successful Lireracy Seminar .
